This classwork was actually alot of fun, as we got to construct the identity and persona, both on-screen and off-screen of our artist. I had already discussed with my group about how our artist will present themselves in the music video and out the music video. The work done in this classwork presents our original plan perfectly. Since this was a group work, it was really not a hassle at all and everyone mostly finished their parts almost immediately except me. I faced this problem because I was in charge of the parts that talked about our plan for our artist. While I knew what we wanted for our artist since we discussed it before, I really was lacking inspiration. I couldn’t really find an artist that matches my vision exactly, which frustrated me. The way I solved this was I asked my friends outside of media studies what artists would match with my concept. Since my other friends had more knowledge on certain artists while having an unbiased view (since they did not know who our actor was), they provided me with public figures I could take inspiration from that I wasn’t aware of before. Next time, I’d like to get opinions from a non-media student perspective again, not only for personal classwork but also other blogs, as they provide useful information.
